Applicants are required to:
- Present a relevant High School Qualification
- Fulfil the relevant programme prerequisites
- Provide a short write-up to explain motivation for transfer
Applicants will be evaluated based on their High School results, university performance as well as any other academic and non-academic achievements.
Applicants may be invited for interview(s) at NUS’ discretion to assess their suitability for the programme they have applied for.
Request for transfer of credit(s), waiver or course exemption(s) is subject to NUS approval upon successful enrolment into the new programme.
Applicants of any nationality will be ineligible for the MOE Tuition Grant according to its guidelines if they have previously obtained a Bachelor's degree through the MOE Tuition Grant or sponsorship by the Singapore Government. This includes receiving a government scholarship from entities like the Ministries, Public Service Commission, or Statutory Boards for local or overseas studies. Note:
* Autonomous University refers to National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Social Sciences and Singapore University of Technology and Design.
# Former Undergraduate refers to student seeking readmission or university graduates seeking a second undergraduate degree.
The following programmes are not applicable for transfer in Semester 2 of the current academic year:
Architecture, Dentistry, Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Nursing (CCP-RN Degree) and Pharmacy.
Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident who are current medical students from overseas Medical institutions recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) seeking transfer to NUS Medicine Year 2 and Year 3 are advised to apply directly with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
NUS students who are seeking to transfer to another undergraduate programme are strongly advised to read the relevant academic information relating to the Declaration of Transfer Option. This information can be found here.
NUS College students (for Cohort AY2021 and before) can apply to change their undergraduate programme up to the end of their second year via the Office of Admissions. The application will be subject to the review and approval of the Admissions Selection Committee in NUS, and the relevant colleges, faculties or schools involved.
NUS College students (from Cohort AY2022 onwards) can apply to change their undergraduate programme up to the end of their second year through the NUS College Academic office. Students should approach and consult the NUS College Academic office for an academic counselling session before proceeding to change their programme. The transfer timeline aligns with the NUS timeline.
